YYACAYY heptapeptide (Tyr-Tyr-Ala-Cys-Ala-Tyr-Tyr)

annealed-peptide bioelectronics 연구 (Namgung et al., APL Materials (2017))에서 출발 구조 막으로 사용된 Nam 연구실의 tyrosine이 풍부한 heptapeptide Tyr–Tyr–Ala–Cys–Ala–Tyr–Tyr이다. 소자에 관련된 막을 형성하는 물질이므로 material(소재)로 분류된다(소비/촉매/templating이 아니라 활성층 전구체 그 자체이다).

왜 tyrosine인가

Tyrosine이 선택된 이유는 그 phenol 고리가 산화환원 활성이며 π-conjugation을 제공하기 때문이다(또한 생체적합성 melanin으로 전환될 수 있음). 이는 생체 고분자를 전자 소재로 전환하기 위한 연구실의 후보 플랫폼이 된다(see Namgung et al., APL Materials (2017), p.1–2, Fig. 1a). 중앙의 cysteine은 이후 XPS에서 thiophene/산화된 S로 관찰되는 황을 공급한다.

막 제작 및 무처리(pristine) 특성

  • trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) 내 1 wt% peptide로부터 스핀 코팅됨(see Namgung et al., APL Materials (2017), p.2).
  • 무처리 막 두께 66.1 ± 3.0 nm; RMS 거칠기 0.434 nm (Table I, Fig. 1c).
  • 무처리 막은 절연체이며, 비저항 ~10⁸ Ωcm (Table I, Fig. 3a).

클러스터 내 역할

무처리 YYACAYY 막은 탄화 어닐링(annealing-induced-carbonization)의 입력물이며, 이를 통해 전도성 annealed-YYACAYY-film이 생성되고, 이는 다시 annealed-peptide-FET의 활성층이 된다. peptide-bioelectronics에 적용된 연구실의 tyrosine/peptide 플랫폼이다.
