Gold nanocube seed (low-index)

키랄 과성장(overgrowth)이 그 위에 만들어지는, 미리 형성된 저지수 면(low-index-plane)이 노출된 금 나노입자.

무엇인가

Lee et al., Nature (2018)에 따르면:

• 큐브 형상, 모서리 길이 150 nm, 낮은 Miller 지수 facet 노출.
• 확립된 시드 매개(seed-mediated) 방법으로 제작(2단계 합성의 1단계).

역할 (subtype: intermediate)

seed-mediated-chiral-overgrowth의 1단계. 2단계에서 시드는 유도제 (L-cysteine / L-glutathione)와 Au⁺를 포함하는 성장 용액에 놓이며, Au⁺의 환원이 저지수 시드를 고지수 stellated-octahedron-Au로, 이어서 키랄 헬리코이드로 진화시킨다.
