Monophase Cu₂O nanofiber photocathode
단상 Cu₂O 나노섬유 광음극
FTO 위에 제작된 단상 Cu₂O 나노섬유 전극(20 nm Cu₂O 하부층 및 5 nm ALD TiO₂ 쉘 포함)을 수계 광전기화학적 CO₂→메탄올 전환을 위한 광음극으로 활용하였다 (see Kang et al., ACS Nano (2018)).
합성 및 구조
- 전기방사된 Cu/PVA 나노섬유를 두 단계로 어닐링한다 — 먼저 공기 중에서, 이후 10 μTorr, 500 °C, 3 h 조건 하에서 — 이를 통해 kinetically-processable-window-phase-control에 의한 단상 Cu₂O 나노섬유가 생성된다 (CuO가 중간체로 작용; see CuO-nanofiber).
- 등각 5 nm ALD TiO₂ 쉘 (TiO₂-ALD-shell)은 TiO₂-passivation-thickness-CO₂-selectivity를 통해 CO₂ 환원 선택성을 유지한다.
성능 (see Kang et al., ACS Nano (2018), Fig. 4b–d)
- 평탄대 전위 0.512 V vs RHE (5 nm TiO₂; 30 nm에서 0.657 V로 이동).
- 광전류 ~1 mA cm⁻² @ 0.4 V vs RHE (AM 1.5G 100 mW cm⁻², 0.5 M KHCO₃) — 당시 수계 Cu₂O CO₂ 광전류 중 최고값으로 보고됨 → photoelectrochemical-current-density.
- 총 알코올 패러데이 효율 ~93% (메탄올 87% + 에탄올 5.8%) @ 0.4 V vs RHE, 0.5 M KHCO₃ 조건 → faradaic-efficiency-CO₂-to-methanol.
